When the idea for this cartoon came to me, I thought how funny it would be if a giant wall on Wolf Street, not Wall Street, would be the sight of a tourist attraction. Interestingly, Wall Street, New York City was named after a palisade wall built by the Dutch in the 17th century for protection against pirates and the British. The area later developed into the Financial district but the wall is the origin of its name. Now the origin of Wolf Street, that’s another story.
